Why I'm building this
A quick hello to whoever’s reading this.
If you’ve made it past the front page, you’re probably curious about who’s making these games and why. Fair enough. Here’s the short version.
The dream
Making games has been a quiet dream of mine for as long as I can remember. Not the kind of dream you announce — the kind you tinker with on weekends, sketch in notebooks nobody else reads, and assume you’ll get around to “someday.”
Someday arrived a little late, but it arrived. PlyHolt is me giving it a real shot: a solo studio building 3D browser games by hand, shipping them directly to you with nothing in the way.
What I hope you find here
If you wandered in looking for something to play, I hope you find it. If you came looking for the work of one person rather than a corporation, I hope that’s what you find too. And if what’s here isn’t quite ready yet — well, that’s because I’d rather ship something good than something fast.
There’s a flagship 3D world I’ve been quietly shaping. Small experiments will appear alongside it: toys, tools, weird ideas that don’t fit anywhere else.
A favor
Two things, actually.
One: tell me what you think. If you have an idea for a game that would fit here — a small mechanic, an odd world, a feeling you’d like to see recreated — I want to hear it.
Two: tell me when something’s broken or could be better. The site, the games, the experience. I’m one person; I’ll miss things you notice in five seconds.
studio@plyholt.com reaches me directly. I read everything, even if I
can’t always reply fast.
Thanks for visiting
The workshop is open. Come back whenever.
